2012 Election

Christopher was home sick from school today (he is finally starting to feel better). What better way to teach him about the Presidential Election than to take him to vote with me?! This morning I explained to him what the President's job is and why we vote. When we got to our polling place they asked if Christopher wanted to vote too! At first I thought the were joking, but they took him over and he was able to vote on the sample ballot! How awesome is that?!
They gave him a "I Voted" sticker after he was finished as well!
He was able to have the full American experience today!

Popcorn

Today I picked up Christopher's popcorn that he sold for the annual Boy Scout Popcorn fundraiser. All together $14,000 was raised, how awesome is that?!

A special thank you to those who supported Christopher by purchasing popcorn!

Even Azzy helped out with the popcorn!

Halloween

For Halloween this year the boys wanted to be a Ninja Turtle and a Pirate.
In the public schools now they do not allow the kids to dress in costumes unless
the costume represents a character from their favorite book! So I tried to figure
out a cheap costume for Christopher to wear to school since I already bought him
his Ninja Turtle on... then it hit me! We have one of the Franklin books in our
library! He went to school as Franklin, wearing his costume (minus the mask)
and was a hit! We went to the church for games and candy in the evening then
headed back home to go through their loot!
